Geographical location: Gialai's a
mountainous province in northern central highland,
bordered by Kontum in the North, Daklak in the South,
Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen in the East and Cambodia
in the West.
Provincial capital:
Pleiku City with a
population of over 200.000 inhabitants.
Population: Over one million people of which 48% are
ethnic minority, mainly Jarai and Bahnar people.

Elevation: 600 - 800m above sea level with mild and nice
climate, and annual average temperatures 23o -
25oc.
The Weather: The dry
season: November - May, the rainy season: from June to

Culture:
In addition to the national distinguished culture, Gialai has it own native culture of
Bahnar and Jarai ethnic minorities that it very abundant
and varied including local customs, the typical architecture
of Rong house, Tomb house with its status and
interesting festivals of the gongs resounded all over
mountainous region.
Natural potential:
With 2/3 area of mountain and forest, Gialai is at
source of many rivers and streams. Such as Pa river, Sesan
river... many large lakes: Bien Ho (Sea lake), Ialy and
Ayunha Lakes and great number of imposing waterfalls of Phu
Cuong, Yangrung, Quenthoa... |
